Happy Easter!

"We're off to the "Grouse and Chortle" for a pint of their best.
So leave the eggs and chocolates... leave them for the rest."

"Wee blossoms from the highlands and heather from the moors,
We decorate from nature, never from the stores!"

"Now, off we toddle, two by two, to yonder ancient inn,
'Grouse and Chortle' has the scotch to really make us grin!"

"So, Happy Easter, what 'ere your clan and paint those eggs of plaid,
Hoist a pint or two, and by tonight, those eggs won't look so bad!"

As Fergus and Hamish disappear over the hill, we hear...
"Ach, Fergus!"
"What is it, now, Hamish?"
"Ye have na' kilt on, man!"
"Aye, but neither have ye!"
"But not for lack of tryin'... the tailor could na' find my tartan, then he could na' find my waist."
"Well, Hamish, I thinkin' that 'as useful as a kilt on a chicken' sounds like a punchline."
"Aye, Fergus, maybe it's just as well. Anyway, with all these blooms we're tottin'... the lassies won't notice a thing!"

HAPPY EASTER from the 'Grouse and Chortle!'

I love the line "... the tailor could na' find my tartan, and then he could na' find my waist." !cute! And you're right. This "lassie" didn't notice a thing but the blossoms (and their dialog!) :-)

Did you have a nice day?

Bobbie - Hope your Easter was happy and peaceful, too. Best treat of my day was discovering the first of the crocus in bloom.

Shady - I definitely took the day off to "play" on my blogs. Can't seem to resist playing with that whole Scottish Inn thing... meet you at the old 'Grouse & Chortle.'
